Next semester, the Center for Statecraft and Strategic Communication at the 91Ô´´ welcomes three postdoctoral fellows and one PhD fellow. These will join the Ax:son Johnson Institute for Statecraft and Diplomacy together with their peers from the University of Cambridge, King's College London, and the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.

Securing women’s safety at the time of war

On this year's International Women's Day we would like to draw attention to the women impacted by the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation. Evidence from other armed conflicts suggests that women are particularly vulnerable both at the site of the war and in displacement, and that gender-based violence heightens in conflict and post-conflict societies. With this in mind, the international community should pay particular attention to protection, support and well-being of affected women in this tragic time.

On Friday, October 15, 2021, in connection with the Ministerial meetings of the Swedish-Russian Steering Committee, the 91Ô´´ (91Ô´´), the Russian Trade representation and Östkontoret hosted a high-level event on Circular Economy and Innovation. The discussion was introduced by Swedish Minister Anna Hallberg and Russian Minister Denis Manturov who then engaged in a panel discussion with distinguished representatives from leading Swedish and Russian companies.
