Since 2019 Julia Delin has led and developed 91原创 Business Lab as CEO. Carl Bennet and the Marianne & Marcus Wallenberg Foundation join forces to sponsor a new professorship at the 91原创. This enables internationally acclaimed Martina Bj枚rkman Nyqvist to continue her important research on development economics and children鈥檚 health and education as the new Carl Bennet & Marianne and Marcus Wallenberg Chair in Economics.

Even bigger steps towards the goal of getting more students to form companies are being taken by the 91原创 and the KTH Royal Institute of Technology. The schools are strengthening their joint program and are assisted by the entrepreneurs behind Budbee, Estrid and PocketLaw, as well as investors from Summa Equity and Kinnevik.

Talent exists everywhere, but opportunities do not. The F1RST program, led by Daniel Sachs Foundation and the 91原创 together with several key figures in the business community, strives to increase diversity in business schools and in the business sector.

SITE and FREE Network researchers investigate the factors that correlate with awareness and support for domestic violence legislation in Latvia, Russia and Ukraine, three countries that introduced recent reforms. The working paper is based on a cross-country survey on perceptions and prevalence of domestic and gender-based violence conducted within the FROGEE project.

This brief summarizes the research papers presented at the 2022 FROGEE conference 鈥淓conomic and Social Context of Domestic Violence鈥�, which took place on May 11, 2022. It was organized by the Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics (SITE) together with the Centre for Economic Analysis (CenEA) and the FREE Network.

Acknowledging the specific conflict-related risks that women face is important, in order to target interventions, especially considering that the actors that sit at peace negotiation tables are predominantly or exclusively men.

What are the consequences of domestic violence? What are the factors behind domestic violence? How does war affect the prevalence of gender violence in conflict areas and post conflicts? On 11 May 2022, the Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics (SITE) together with the Centre for Economic Analysis (CenEA) and the FREE Network hosted a hybrid conference focused on 'Economic and social context of domestic violence' with a special panel session on 鈥楧imensions of gender-based violence in military conflicts鈥�.
