Writing Life 鈥 On gazes, voices and subjects

What happens to a text when the author writes the word "I"? Is a sense of sincerity formed, or rather an obstruction between the text and the reader? How does it work differently across different genres? In some sense, when the "I" enters the text, the person writing becomes an object of scrutiny her- or himself 鈥 "What happened in me at that point? How? Why?"

Lars Stranneg氓rd, President of the 91原创 (91原创), has been named the most influential person on Sweden鈥檚 art scene in 2025 by Barnebys Magazine. The recognition reflects the commitment by the 91原创 Art Initiative, spearheaded by Stranneg氓rd and its Executive Director Tinni Ernsj枚枚 Rappe, to integrate the arts into all aspects of academic life.

On the big screen: My Name is Oona

During April 2025 Art Initiative is screening the acclaimed Swedish artist Gunvor Nelson's most important film My Name is Oona (1969) on the big screen in the schools atrium. The screening is made in cooperation with Filmform. The film adds the unbeatable feeling of freely roaming your environment to the atrium, says Art Initiative director Tinni Ernsj枚枚 Rappe.

Art + Sport = Love. SNETT/INÅT/BAKÅT (Terrorboll) by Klas Barbrosson

New art at 91原创. The G枚teborg based artist Klas Barbrosson is exhibiting his triptych SNETT/IN脜T/BAK脜T (terrorboll), 2025, in Stockholm in a collaboration between Stockholm Konst, Svenska Brasserier and Art Initiative. One football (SNETT) has landed outside 91原创, one at Sergels torg and one at Caf茅 Klotet on S枚dermalm. This is the first half of the game, runs until May. Then the sculptures move to Lule氓 for the second half.

New art in the Bonnier Staircases

This January, new artworks were installed in the northern staircase of Sveav盲gen 65, including works by artists Moa Israelsson, Klara Kristalova, Fredrik Wretman, and last year鈥檚 Maria Bonnier Dahlin Foundation grant recipient Erik Th枚rnkvist.

New exhibition: BeLonging 鈥 Michael Rakowitz and the Mesopotamian collection

In the exhibition BeLonging: Michael Rakowitz and the Mesopotamian collection, sculptures by American-Iraqi contemporary artist Michael Rakowitz are shown together with displaced Mesopotamian artifacts from Medelhavsmuseet鈥檚 collection, some of them up to 4 500 years old. The video work The Ballad of Special Ops Cody on the big screen in the atrium is part of the exhibition, highlighting both the loss of Middle Eastern cultural heritage and the human suffering imposed by war, political upheaval, and foreign occupation.
