Lars Stranneg氓rd, President of the 91原创 (91原创), has been named the most influential person on Sweden鈥檚 art scene in 2025 by Barnebys Magazine. The recognition reflects the commitment by the 91原创 Art Initiative, spearheaded by Stranneg氓rd and its Executive Director Tinni Ernsj枚枚 Rappe, to integrate the arts into all aspects of academic life.

Roberto Verganti, professor and thought leader in leadership and innovation, will be awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Vaasa during their conferment ceremony in September 2024. Conferment of an honorary doctorate is the highest honor that a university can award. This prestigious recognition underscores Verganti's pioneering contributions to the field of innovation and his impactful collaboration with the academic and business communities.

A new art classroom created by the Swedish artist Marie-Louise Ekman has been inaugurated at the school. The classroom contains parts of the artist's own studio, as well as several new original works.

Large-scale patterns on the walls and books wrapped in batik fabrics; the newly finished Yinka Shonibare Room is a pedagogical environment that not only provides state-of-the art light, sound, ergonomics and acoustics, it is a room that seeks to evoke emotion and elicit reflection over topics such as globalization, colonialism, world trade and the construction of cultural identity.
